The Monterey Express was my first boat diving experience and they convinced me that boat diving is definitely the way to go. Tim, the captain, knows his stuff and keeps everyone entertained in-between dives.
The boat has plenty of room, which is more than I can say for other charter boats in the area. You can actually sit down, even with all the tanks in place! The crew was very friendly and helpful. About my only complaint is that what they call a shower is really just lukewarm water, spouting from a hose at the stern of the boat. Other than that everything was great. I will dive with The Monterey Express again for sure!
