Tawali Resort
Tawali Resort, located on the shores of Milne Bay in Papua New Guinea on the edge of an ancient rainforest. Each private bungalow accommodates two guests and was built by local craftsman using aboriginal techniques that juxtapose native charm with luxurious décor. When you retire to your room, you will relax in the comfort of climate control, even while you’re surrounded with natural splendor.
The diving in Milne Bay is wonderful, and is done mostly from small boats, or from the shore right in front of the resort. There is a larger boat that goes to the outer reefs daily, for a 3 tank dive.

I am an instructor who led a group here in the fall of 2006. The word phenomenal cannot describe the experience we had. The resort is far away from anything resembling civilization, yet the accommodations were very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful
The diving was the best! There was a ton of marine life to see and photograph. And the crew did all the work, so about all my client's had to do was jump in and enjoy. The only minor downside to diving in PNG is that for a tropical location, the water is a bit cold. You still have to wear at least a 5mm suit. That being said, it's well worth the trip!
