Blessed with a house reef where you can begin your dive only 20m (60 feet) from the dive center, Wakatobi is often described as a live aboard with a built-in beach! In addition to the spectacular house reef, there are several dozens of easily accessible dive sites offering incredible marine life diversity, color and natural splendor.
Although one of the world's most remote resorts, Wakatobi Dive Resort offers a whole new level of comfort and class not usually associated with a typical dive resort. Our beach villas and bungalows are spacious, tastefully decorated and offer all of the amenities you would expect in any fine resort.
In addition to our land-based resort we also own and operate the world-renowned Pelagian yacht. The Pelagian is fully integrated into Wakatobi's award-winning marine conservation and community development programs, it has exclusive access to the diving sites within the extended Wakatobi region. It's now possible to combine a trip to Wakatobi with a live-a-board adventure on the Pelagian on the same holiday!

- Our highly qualified professional dive staff are second to none in the industry. All of our dive guides are trained instructors, with an average of 3,000 dives each. Your safety, comfort, and enjoyment is their up most concern. Regardless of your skill level, they will take the time to make sure you have a great time cruising the reefs. For advanced divers, we also have instructor-level guides with cave diving and rebreather specialties. And naturally, all of our guides know the reefs of Wakatobi like the back of their hand. If there's a critter you have always wanted to see (like a pygmy seahorse?), they will know the place to find it.
